DAY 1: HA GIANG CITY – KHAU LAN WATERFALL – SUOI BINH DUONG – QUAN BA GATE – TWIN FAIRY MOUNTAINS (B/ L/ D)
The day begins at 7:30 AM with pickup and a short tour briefing at the Nomadic Soul office in Ha Giang City. Guests then transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast before starting the journey.
From here, travel toward the lush tropical landscapes surrounding Khau Lan Waterfall. A short trek of about one kilometer through dense forest leads to one of Ha Giang’s most impressive hidden cascades. Surrounded by towering cliffs and greenery, the waterfall offers an opportunity for swimming, photography, and quiet moments in nature.
Lunch is served in the Quyet Tien area before continuing deeper into the karst landscape.
In the afternoon, explore the Tung San cave system, a fascinating underground world of limestone formations and hidden streams. The cavern’s large openings and dramatic stalactites create a natural gateway-like appearance carved through the mountain.
Later, ascend toward Quan Ba Heaven Gate, one of the most scenic viewpoints in northern Vietnam. From here, sweeping panoramas reveal the Tam Son Valley and the iconic Twin Fairy Mountains rising from the valley floor.
By late afternoon, arrive at Nam Dam village, home to the Dao ethnic community. The village is known for its distinctive earthen houses and strong preservation of traditional culture. A leisurely walk through the village offers insight into daily life, architecture, and customs.

In the afternoon, visit the Vuong Family Palace, also known as the Hmong King’s Palace. Built in the early 20th century by Vuong Chinh Duc, this impressive stone and timber residence once served as the political and economic center of the Hmong region. The architecture reflects both local craftsmanship and subtle Chinese influences.

In the afternoon, descend to the Nho Que River for a boat excursion through Tu San Canyon, considered the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.
