DAY 0: TRAVEL TO HA GIANG CITY (MEALS: ON YOUR OWN)
Guests travel independently to Ha Giang City before the tour departure. Upon arrival, Nomadic Soul Travel provides one complimentary dormitory night at our rest area in Ha Giang, allowing travelers to relax and prepare before the journey officially begins. For guests traveling from Hanoi or other major cities, Nomadic Soul Travel can assist with booking VIP sleeper buses to Ha Giang with flexible departure times at 07:00, 12:00, 16:00, and 21:00.

DAY 01: HA GIANG – THON THA VILLAGE – KHAU LAN WATERFALL – QUAN BA HEAVEN GATE – NAM DAM (B/ L/ D)
The journey begins in Ha Giang City, where guests meet the guide at the tour office. After a short briefing and breakfast at a local restaurant, the adventure into the northern highlands begins.
The first stop is Thon Tha - Ha Thanh villages, peaceful Tay ethnic villages surrounded by rice paddies and gentle hills. Traditional stilt houses with palm-leaf roofs sit quietly among the fields, while small streams flow through the valley, offering a tranquil introduction to life in the mountains of Ha Giang.
After lunch in Quan Ba, the afternoon continues with a short trek through tropical forest to reach Khau Lan Waterfall. A gentle walk of around 500 meters leads to this hidden cascade tucked deep within the forest. The waterfall flows through lush greenery and dramatic rock formations, creating a refreshing natural setting where guests may relax, take photos, or swim in the cool mountain water.
Later in the afternoon, the road climbs toward the entrance of the Dong Van Karst Plateau with scenic stops at Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, and the famous Twin Fairy Mountains rising above Tam Son Valley.
By late afternoon, arrive at Nam Dam village, a traditional Dao ethnic community known for its earthen houses and preserved cultural traditions. Dinner is served at the homestay, where guests may also experience the peaceful rhythm of village life in the northern highlands.

Khau Lan Waterfall
DAY 02: SAO HA VILLAGE – THAM MA PASS – LAO XA SILVER VILLAGE – VUONG FAMILY PALACE – LO LO CHAI (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast at the homestay, the journey continues deeper into the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
The morning begins with a visit to Sao Ha village, a hidden Hmong settlement nestled among limestone mountains. This quiet village is associated with historical stories from the Dong Van region and has recently gained attention as a filming location for several Vietnamese movies.
Continuing along the plateau road, the next stop is Tham Ma Pass, a dramatic mountain pass known for its winding curves carved through the rocky landscape. From here, sweeping views open across the limestone mountains of Ha Giang.
Lunch is served in Pho Cao village.
In the afternoon, visit Lao Xa village, a traditional Hmong village where the ancient craft of handmade silver jewelry is still preserved. Guests may observe the delicate craftsmanship and learn about the cultural importance of silver ornaments among the Hmong people.
The journey then continues to the Vuong Family Palace, also known as the Hmong King Residence. Built in the early twentieth century, this unique stone complex once served as the center of power for the Vuong clan, offering insight into the history and architecture of the Dong Van Plateau.
By late afternoon, arrive at Lo Lo Chai village, a picturesque village located at the foot of Lung Cu Flag Tower. A leisurely walk through the village reveals traditional houses, stone fences, and the quiet rhythm of life among the Lo Lo ethnic community.

Lo Lo Chai Village
DAY 03: LUNG CU FLAG TOWER – NORTHERNMOST POINT – WHITE CLIFF HIKE – PA VI CULTURAL VILLAGE (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to Lung Cu Flag Tower, one of the most symbolic landmarks in Vietnam. Standing at the country’s northernmost point, the tower overlooks dramatic landscapes of mountains and valleys stretching toward the border.
Nearby, guests stop at the northernmost geographic point of Vietnam, marking where the Nho Que River begins its journey into the country.
Lunch is served in Dong Van town, followed by a short stroll through the historic Dong Van Old Quarter where stone houses surround a small traditional market square.
In the afternoon, the journey continues toward the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass. From the Youth Volunteer Monument viewpoint, guests begin a scenic hike along the White Cliff Trail. The route follows a dramatic limestone ridge offering panoramic views across Tu San Canyon and the emerald waters of the Nho Que River far below.
Along the trail, several unique viewpoints appear, including striking rock formations and cliff-edge panoramas that reveal the vast scale of the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Later in the afternoon, arrive at Pa Vi Cultural Village in Meo Vac district. This Hmong village is known for its distinctive architecture and peaceful mountain setting. Guests may walk through the village before checking in at the homestay.

White Cliff Trail – Ma Pi Leng Viewpoint
DAY 04: NHO QUE RIVER – MEO VAC SINKHOLE – TIA CUA SI – NIA DO BAMBOO FOREST – MEO VAC (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, the day begins with one of the most memorable experiences of the journey.
Guests travel to the Nho Que River for a boat excursion through the spectacular Tu San Canyon, considered the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. From the water, towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides, creating one of the most breathtaking landscapes in northern Vietnam.
Lunch is served beside the Nho Que River with panoramic views toward the canyon.
In the afternoon, visit the impressive Meo Vac geological sinkhole, a vast natural depression hidden within the limestone plateau. The sinkhole reveals unique vegetation and geological formations shaped over millions of years.
The journey continues along the remote Tia Cua Si mountain road, offering sweeping views across the Nho Que River valley and distant mountain ranges near the Vietnam–China border. Along the way, the road passes small Hmong villages perched along the cliffs.
A final stop is made at the Nia Do bamboo forest, a surprising pocket of greenery nestled among the limestone mountains.
By late afternoon, return to Meo Vac town. Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.

DAY 05: MEO VAC – M-SHAPED CURVES – DUONG THUONG VALLEY – HA GIANG CITY (B/ L)
The morning begins in the quiet mountain town of Meo Vac. If traveling on a Sunday, guests may explore the colorful Meo Vac market, one of the most vibrant ethnic markets in Ha Giang where local communities gather each week.
After breakfast, begin the scenic return journey toward Ha Giang City.
The road winds through the famous M-shaped mountain curves, one of the most photographed sections of the Ha Giang Loop.
Lunch is served in Mau Due – Yen Minh.
In the afternoon, the journey continues through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Duong Thuong Valley. The road passes remote villages, terraced hillsides, and quiet valleys that offer a final glimpse into the peaceful highlands of northern Vietnam.
Arrival in Ha Giang City is expected in the late afternoon. Guests may rest and refresh at the Nomadic Soul Travel office while waiting for onward transportation.
Travelers can choose an early sleeper bus departing around 16:30–17:00 for same-day return, or a night sleeper bus departing around 21:00 for arrival in other cities the following morning.
