✨ DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 0: TRAVEL TO HA GIANG CITY (MEALS: ON YOUR OWN)
Travel independently from major cities such as Hanoi or other provinces to Ha Giang City before the tour departure.
Guests will be provided with one complimentary dormitory night before the journey begins, allowing time to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Nomadic Soul Travel can assist with booking round-trip sleeper buses to Ha Giang with flexible departure times at 07:00, 12:00, 16:00, and 21:00.

Km0 Ha Giang
DAY 1: HA GIANG CITY – QUAN BA – THAM MA PASS – VUONG FAMILY PALACE – DONG VAN (B/ L/ D)
The journey begins in Ha Giang City, where guests meet the guide at the Nomadic Soul Travel office. After a short briefing and breakfast at a local restaurant, the adventure into the Dong Van Karst Plateau begins.
Leaving the city behind, the road climbs through Bac Sum Pass, one of the first dramatic mountain routes leading into the highlands. The first panoramic stop is at Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where sweeping views open across Tam Son Valley and the famous Twin Fairy Mountains rising from the valley floor.
Continuing deeper into the plateau, the journey reaches Tham Ma Pass, a historic mountain road once used by horse traders crossing the rugged terrain of Ha Giang. The winding road provides striking views of limestone peaks and traditional highland villages scattered along the slopes.
Lunch is served in Pho Cao village.
In the afternoon, visit the Vuong Family Palace in Sa Phin, also known as the Hmong King Residence. Built in the early twentieth century, this unique complex of stone and timber once served as the political and economic center of the powerful Vuong clan.
By late afternoon, arrive in Dong Van town and check in at the hotel.
After dinner, guests may explore Dong Van Old Quarter, where traditional stone houses surround a historic market square. On weekends, the square often comes alive with cultural gatherings and small evening performances.

Tham Ma Pass
DAY 2: DONG VAN – LUNG CU FLAG TOWER – NHO QUE RIVER – MEO VAC (B/ L/ D)
The morning begins with breakfast in Dong Van. If traveling on a weekend, guests may briefly explore the early morning Dong Van market, where ethnic communities gather to trade goods and socialize.
The journey continues north toward Lung Cu Flag Tower, one of the most symbolic landmarks in Vietnam. Standing at the country’s northernmost point, the tower overlooks a dramatic landscape of terraced hills and border villages.
Nearby lies Lo Lo Chai village, a picturesque settlement of the Lo Lo ethnic community. A short walk through the village reveals traditional clay houses, stone fences, and the quiet rhythms of daily life in the highlands.
Lunch is served back in Dong Van town.
In the afternoon, the road leads to the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, widely regarded as one of the most spectacular mountain roads in Vietnam. From the ridge, breathtaking views open across the Dong Van Plateau and the deep Tu San Canyon carved by the Nho Que River.
Descending toward the river valley, guests embark on a scenic boat excursion along the Nho Que River. The emerald water flows between towering limestone cliffs, creating one of the most dramatic landscapes in the region.
By late afternoon, arrive in Meo Vac town.
Dinner and overnight stay at a local homestay in Meo Vac.

Nho Que River
DAY 3: MEO VAC – M-SHAPED CURVES – DUONG THUONG VALLEY – HA GIANG (B/ L)
The morning begins in the peaceful mountain town of Meo Vac. If traveling on a Sunday, guests may visit the colorful Meo Vac market, one of the most vibrant ethnic markets in the region where local communities gather for trade and social exchange.
After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back toward Ha Giang City.
The road passes through the dramatic M-shaped curves, one of the most photographed sections of the Ha Giang Loop. The winding mountain road offers sweeping views across limestone peaks and deep valleys.
Lunch is served in Mau Due.
In the afternoon, continue along the beautiful mountain route connecting Mau Due and Duong Thuong Valley. This remote region reveals peaceful landscapes of terraced hills, traditional villages, and quiet highland scenery.
Arrive back in Ha Giang City in the late afternoon.
Guests may shower and rest at the Nomadic Soul Travel office while waiting for onward transportation.
Travelers can choose an early sleeper bus departing around 16:30–17:00 for same-day return, or a night sleeper bus departing around 21:00 for arrival in other cities the following morning.
