DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 0: TRAVEL TO HA GIANG CITY (MEALS: NOT INCLUDED)
Hanoi to Ha Giang City: approx. 280 - 300 km | 5.5 - 6 hrs by premium sleeper bus or 5 - 5.5 hrs by private car
Guests arrange their own travel to Ha Giang City before the tour starts. On the night before the journey, a basic shared dorm resting area at the tour office can be provided for guests to rest and prepare for the trip the following morning.

Option 1 - Premium sleeper bus: Premium sleeper bus tickets to Ha Giang City can be arranged with flexible departure times at 07:00, 12:00, 16:00 or 21:00, subject to availability and the guest’s travel schedule.
Option 2 - Private car transfer: A private car from Hanoi or another suitable departure point to Ha Giang City can be arranged for guests who prefer more privacy, comfort, and flexibility with departure time and pick-up location.

DAY 01: HA GIANG - THON THA VILLAGE - KHAU LAN WATERFALL - TWIN FAIRY MOUNTAINS - NAM DAM (MEALS: BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER)
Ha Giang City to Khau Lan Waterfall area: approx. 45 km | 1 - 1.5 hrs
Khau Lan Waterfall area to Nam Dam Village: approx. 25 km | 45 mins - 1 hr
07:30 - The journey begins in Ha Giang City, where guests meet the guide at the tour office. After a short briefing and breakfast at a local restaurant, the adventure into the northern highlands begins.
The first stop is Thon Tha - Ha Thanh villages, peaceful Tay ethnic villages surrounded by rice paddies and gentle hills. Traditional stilt houses with palm-leaf roofs sit quietly among the fields, while small streams flow through the valley, offering a tranquil introduction to life in the mountains of Ha Giang.
13:30 - After lunch in Quan Ba, the afternoon continues with a short trek through tropical forest to reach Khau Lan Waterfall. A gentle walk of around 500 meters leads to this hidden cascade tucked deep within the forest. The waterfall flows through lush greenery and dramatic rock formations, creating a refreshing natural setting where guests may relax, take photos, or swim in the cool mountain water.
Later in the afternoon, the road climbs toward the entrance of the Dong Van Karst Plateau with scenic stops at Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, and the famous Twin Fairy Mountains rising above Tam Son Valley.
16:30 - By late afternoon, arrive at Nam Dam village, a traditional Dao ethnic community known for its earthen houses and preserved cultural traditions. Dinner is served at the homestay, where guests may also experience the peaceful rhythm of village life in the northern highlands.

DAY 02: SAO HA VILLAGE - THAM MA PASS - LAO XA VILLAGE - VUONG FAMILY PALACE - LO LO CHAI VILLAGE (MEALS: BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER)
Nam Dam Village to Sao Ha Village: approx. 55 - 65 km | 2 - 2.5 hrs
Vuong Palace to Lo Lo Chai Village: approx. 35 - 45 km | 1.5 hrs
After breakfast at the homestay, the journey continues deeper into the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
09:30 - The morning begins with a visit to Sao Ha village, a hidden Hmong settlement nestled among limestone mountains. This quiet village is associated with historical stories from the Dong Van region and has recently gained attention as a filming location for several Vietnamese movies.
Continuing along the plateau road, the next stop is Tham Ma Pass, a dramatic mountain pass known for its winding curves carved through the rocky landscape. From here, sweeping views open across the limestone mountains of Ha Giang.
Lunch is served in Pho Cao village.
13:00 - In the afternoon, visit Lao Xa village, a traditional Hmong village where the ancient craft of handmade silver jewelry is still preserved. Guests may observe the delicate craftsmanship and learn about the cultural importance of silver ornaments among the Hmong people.
The journey then continues to the Vuong Family Palace, also known as the Hmong King Residence. Built in the early twentieth century, this unique stone complex once served as the center of power for the Vuong clan, offering insight into the history and architecture of the Dong Van Plateau.
16:00 - By late afternoon, arrive at Lo Lo Chai village, a picturesque village located at the foot of Lung Cu Flag Tower. A leisurely walk through the village reveals traditional houses, stone fences, and the quiet rhythm of life among the Lo Lo ethnic community.

DAY 03: LUNG CU FLAG TOWER - NORTHERNMOST POINT - WHITE CLIFF HIKE - PA VI VILLAGE (MEALS: BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER)
Lo Lo Chai Village to Dong Van Old Quarter: approx. 30 - 40 km | 1 - 1.5 hrs
Dong Van Old Quarter to Meo Vac: approx. 25 km | 1 hr
07:00 - Enjoy breakfast at the homestay before beginning the day with a visit to the iconic Lung Cu Flag Tower, one of the most symbolic landmarks in Vietnam. Standing at the country’s northernmost point, the tower overlooks dramatic landscapes of mountains and valleys stretching toward the border.
Nearby, guests stop at the northernmost point of Vietnam, marking where the Nho Que River begins its journey into the country.
Lunch is served in Dong Van town, followed by a short stroll through the historic Dong Van Old Quarter where stone houses surround a small traditional market square.
13:30 - The journey continues to the White Cliff ridge trail near Ma Pi Leng Pass for a scenic hike of approximately 6 km from the Youth Volunteer Monument viewpoint. With panoramic mountain views across the Tu San Canyon and the Nho Que River far below and a well-paced route, this light to moderate walk is ideal for active travelers seeking an immersive nature experience in Ha Giang. Notes:

- Hiking level: light to moderate

16:30 - Arrive at Pa Vi Cultural Village in Meo Vac district. This Hmong village is known for its distinctive architecture and peaceful mountain setting. Guests may walk through the village before checking in at the homestay.

DAY 04: NHO QUE RIVER - MEO VAC SINKHOLE - TIA CUA SI - NIA DO BAMBOO FOREST - MEO VAC (MEALS: BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER)
Pa Vi Village to Nho Que River boat area: approx. 10 - 15 km | 20 - 30 mins
After breakfast, the day begins with one of the most memorable experiences of the journey.
08:30 - Guests travel to the Nho Que River for a boat excursion through the spectacular Tu San Canyon, considered the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. From the water, towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides, creating one of the most breathtaking landscapes in northern Vietnam.
Lunch is served beside the Nho Que River with panoramic views toward the canyon.
13:30 - In the afternoon, visit the impressive Meo Vac sinkhole, a vast natural depression hidden within the limestone plateau. The sinkhole reveals unique vegetation and geological formations shaped over millions of years.
14:30 - The journey continues along the remote Tia Cua Si mountain road, offering sweeping views across the Nho Que River valley and distant mountain ranges near the Vietnam–China border. Along the way, the road passes small Hmong villages perched along the cliffs.
A final stop is made at the Nia Do bamboo forest, a surprising pocket of greenery nestled among the limestone mountains.
16:30 - By late afternoon, return to Meo Vac town. Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.

DAY 05: MEO VAC - M-SHAPED CURVES - BAN AN STREAM - DU GIA VILLAGE (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
Meo Vac to Du Gia: approx. 70 km | 3 - 3.5 hrs
07:00 - Enjoy breakfast at the homestay, then guests may visit the vibrant Meo Vac Sunday Market if the journey falls on a Sunday. This is one of the largest ethnic markets in the Ha Giang region, where communities from surrounding mountain villages gather to trade livestock, produce, textiles, and handmade goods.
08:00 - Leaving Meo Vac, the journey continues south along a scenic mountain road toward Mau Due. Along the way, several photo stops are made at spectacular viewpoints, including the famous M-shaped curves overlooking deep valleys.
Around midday, enjoy lunch beside Ban An Stream, a quiet natural setting surrounded by forest and mountain scenery.
13:00 - In the afternoon, guests experience a gentle bamboo rafting activity along the clear waters of Ban An Stream. Floating slowly upstream toward Tham Lin Cave, this peaceful experience offers a different perspective of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Later in the day, continue toward Du Gia village, a tranquil Tay ethnic community nestled among rice fields and forested mountains.
Upon arrival at around 16:00, guests are free to stroll through the village and observe daily life in the countryside before enjoying dinner at the homestay.

DAY 06: DU GIA - DU GIA WATERFALL - DUONG THUONG - LUNG TAM - HA GIANG CITY (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)
Du Gia to Ha Giang City: approx. 70 km | 2.5 - 3 hrs
The final day begins in the peaceful countryside of Du Gia.
08:00 - Enjoy breakfast at the homestay. After breakfast, a visit to Du Gia Waterfall offers time to relax in one of the most refreshing natural settings of the region. Surrounded by forest and cool mountain air, the waterfall provides a calm and memorable final nature stop of the journey.
Lunch is served in the Duong Thuong area.
13:00 - In the afternoon, the route continues back toward Ha Giang City through the scenic landscapes of Duong Thuong and Thai An, passing valleys, streams, and mountain villages along the way.
14:30 - Before returning to Ha Giang, guests visit Lung Tam linen weaving village, where the Hmong community preserves the traditional art of hemp weaving. Here, visitors can learn about the many stages involved in creating linen fabric and better understand its cultural significance in local life.
16:00 - Arrival in Ha Giang City
Arrive back in Ha Giang City. Guests may freshen up and rest briefly at the tour office before the onward transfer to Hanoi or another destination.

Option 1 - Premium sleeper bus: Guests may choose an early bus around 16:30 - 17:00 to return on the same day, or a night sleeper bus around 21:00 to arrive the next morning.
Option 2 - Private car: A private car transfer from Ha Giang City to Hanoi or another requested destination can be arranged for guests who prefer more privacy, comfort, and flexibility.
