DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 0: ARRIVE IN HA GIANG CITY 

Arrive in Ha Giang City ahead of tour start. We provide 01 pre-tour dorm night for early arrivals. On request, we can arrange round-trip sleeper buses (07:00 / 12:00 / 16:00 / 21:00), including VIP “palace” cabin buses (single/double cabins).

DAY 1: HA GIANG CITY – FAIRY MOUNTAIN – THAM MA SLOPE – HMONG KING’S PALACE – DONG VAN [B / L / D]

07:30: Meet your guide at our Ha Giang office (or a designated pick-up in town). Trip briefing, breakfast, then depart.

08:30: Gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau: Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, and the photogenic Fairy Twin Mountains.

11:00: Tham Ma Pass (the famed “horse test” slope): panorama photo stop and meet friendly highland kids.

11:30: Lunch in Pho Cao.

13:00: Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Family Residence): architecture, history and culture of the Hmong on the karst plateau.

16:30: Arrive Dong Van. Hotel check-in, dinner (signature black chicken hotpot), and free time to wander the lantern-lit Old Quarter; campfire/music activities when available.

Overnight in Dong Van town.

DAY 2: DONG VAN – LUNG CU FLAG TOWER – TU SAN CANYON BOAT RIDE – MA PI LENG PASS – MEO VAC [B / L / D]

07:00: Breakfast; (weekends) stroll the early Dong Van market.

08:30: Visit Lung Cu Flag Tower, iconic northernmost landmark many dream to reach once in a lifetime.

09:30: Northernmost point check-in and photo stop.

10:00: Lo Lo Chai Village beneath the flag tower: slow village walk and cultural encounters.

11:30: Lunch in Dong Van.

13:00: Drive across Ma Pi Leng Pass (one of Vietnam’s “Four Great Passes”) for sweeping views over the plateau, Tu San Canyon and the Nho Que River from above.

14:30: Nho Que River boat through Tu San Canyon (the deepest gorge in Southeast Asia).

17:30: Arrive Meo Vac. Dinner & overnight in Meo Vac

DAY 3: MEO VAC – M SHAPED CURVES – LUNG HO FORT – DU GIA VILLAGE [B / L / D]

07:00: Breakfast at the homestay/hotel; (Sundays) visit the vibrant Meo Vac market, the region’s largest weekly fair.

08:00: Scenic drive Meo Vac to Mau Due with photo stops at the iconic M-shaped curves.

11:30: Lunch in Mau Due – Yen Minh.

13:00: Continue the beautiful Mau Due – Duong Thuong backroad: stops at Lung Ho Outpost, Duong Thuong Valley and other lookouts.

16:00: Arrive Du Gia (Tay ethnic village). Easy village walk, relax among rice paddies and streams. Dinner & overnight in a cozy homestay.

DAY 4: DU GIA WATERFALL – THUAN HOA VALLEY – RETURN TO HA GIANG [B / L / _]

08:00: Breakfast at the homestay.

09:00: Swim and relax at the cool Du Gia Waterfall.

11:30: Lunch in Duong Thuong.

13:00: Drive the scenic Duong Thuong – Thai An route via lush valleys and waterfalls back toward Ha Giang City.

16:00: Arrive Ha Giang City. Freshen up and rest at our office while awaiting your sleeper bus:

– Afternoon bus (approx. 16:30–17:00) for same-day return, or

– Night bus (approx. 22:00) arriving early the next morning.

Free time to explore the city (own expense).
