Detailed Itinerary:

DAY 0: ARRIVE IN HA GIANG CITY 

Arrive in Ha Giang City before the tour. We provide 1 complimentary pre-tour dorm night for early arrivals. On request, we can arrange round-trip sleeper buses from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Sapa, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and more, with departures at 07:00 / 12:00 / 16:00 / 21:00.

DAY 01: HA GIANG – SAO HA VILLAGE – SANG TUNG – LAO XA – DONG VAN (B/L/D)

07:30: Meet your guide at our Ha Giang office (early arrivals may rest in our dorm) or another city pickup. Breakfast, briefing, depart.

10:00: Explore Sao Ha (“Ghost Village”), a secluded, historic H’Mong hamlet set in deep forest; filming location for noted Vietnamese thrillers.

11:00: Lunch in Pho Cao (Dong Van).

13:00: Drive a little-known route across the Dong Van Karst Plateau, passing photogenic villages and stopping in the Sảng Tủng stone desert moonlike karst fields perfect for photography.

14:30: Visit Lao Xa to learn about traditional silver making passed down through generations.

16:30: Arrive Dong Van Town. Hotel check-in, dinner, and free time to wander the Old Quarter. On weekends, enjoy campfire/music activities.

DAY 02: WHITE CLIFF HIKE – NHO QUE 3 – MEO VAC (B/L/D)

07:00: Breakfast; if weekend, browse Dong Van Market for a colorful start.

08:30: Begin the White Cliff Trail (≈6 km round segments) from the Youth Volunteers Monument: balcony like ledges with grand views over Ma Pi Leng Pass, the Nho Que River, and Tu San Canyon. Photo stops at the famous cliff ledge, “Death Rock,” “Twin Tree” point, etc.

11:30: Lunch in Meo Vac with highland specialties.

14:00: Nho Que 3 motorboat into Phong Luu Gorge; check in at the signature rock, kayak and swim in emerald inlets when weather & water levels permit.

16:30: Arrive Meo Vac. Homestay check-in, BBQ dinner, and overnight.

DAY 03: NIA DO BAMBOO – MEO VAC SINKHOLE – DUONG THUONG – NAM DAM (B/L/D)

07:00: Breakfast; if weekend, visit Meo Vac Market.

08:00: Scenic Tia Cua Si ridge road overlooking the Nho Que basin toward the Sam Pun range and the Vietnam–China border. Pass remote H’Mong villages—Tia Cua Si, Nia Do, Ca Chua Do—and pretty bamboo groves.

09:00: Explore the vast Meo Vac Sinkhole, a dramatic karst depression with unique vegetation.

10:00: Start back toward Ha Giang via Meo Vac – Mau Due with a photo stop at the iconic M-shaped Curves.

12:00: Lunch in Mau Due; continue the beautiful Mau Due – Duong Thuong – Thuan Hoa corridor with stops at Lung Ho Outpost, Duong Thuong valley lookouts.

Overnight in homestay in Nam Dam.

DAY 04: BINH DUONG SKY GATE (THUNG MOUNTAIN) – KHAU LAN WATERFALL – HA GIANG (B/L/–)

07:00: Breakfast and checkout.

09:00: Discover Binh Duong Thung Mountain & Soan Tung Cave system, an impressive natural “sky gate” with underground streams and stalactites.

11:30: Lunch in Quyet Tien.

13:30: Short trek (~500m/ ~30 min) to Khau Lan Waterfall, one of Ha Giang’s most striking wild cascades. Free time for photos and a refreshing stream dip (when safe).

16:00: Arrive Ha Giang City. Freshen up at our office and await your selected sleeper bus: early run 16:30 - 17:00 or night run 21:00 to your onward destination.
