DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL                                                                                                                              [MEALS: NOT INCLUDED]

Upon arrival in Hanoi, guests are met at Noi Bai Airport by the guide and private vehicle and transferred to the selected hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Driving distance: approx. 35 km
Transfer time: approx. 60 minutes
Note: the itinerary can be adjusted depending on the arrival flight schedule. Some visits may be arranged on this day to allow more time at sites or to add further visits on the following day with a small supplement if requested.

DAY 2: HANOI                                                                                                                                     [MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH]
After breakfast, begin a full-day discovery of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, known for its centennial architecture and rich cultural influences from Southeast Asia, China and France.

The first stop is West Lake, where guests visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda dating back to the sixth century. The journey continues to the Temple of Literature, one of Hanoi’s most important cultural landmarks. Built in 1070, it is regarded as Vietnam’s first university during the feudal period.

Afterwards, continue to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which offers valuable insight into the diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic communities through exhibitions, objects and traditional costumes. If visiting on a Monday, when the museum is closed, the visit may be replaced by the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, which offers a rich perspective on the heritage and lives of Vietnamese women.

After lunch, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex from an exterior viewpoint of the Mausoleum. Please note that the mausoleum is closed every Monday and Friday. Continue to Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house, where he lived from 1958 to 1969. Guests may also choose to visit the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples.

At the end of the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, with its lively maze of traditional streets, including Hang Be Market and the area around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Finish the day with a live water puppet performance, a traditional art form unique to northern Vietnam.

DAY 3: HANOI - HALONG BAY                                                                                          [MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER]
After breakfast, leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. The journey takes around 3 hours 30 minutes, including a short stop on the way.

Halong Bay is one of Vietnam’s most extraordinary natural wonders, located in the northeast where thousands of limestone islands rise dramatically from emerald waters. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Arrive at the jetty around midday and complete check-in formalities for the cruise.

After the onboard welcome, lunch is served while the cruise begins its journey into the bay.

In the afternoon, guests may enjoy visits and activities depending on the itinerary of each individual boat, or simply relax on board and admire the scenery.

Towards the end of the day, the boat anchors for the night among the limestone karsts. Dinner is served on board.

DAY 4: HALONG DEPARTURE                                                                                                                           [MEALS: BREAKFAST]
Wake to a fresh morning in the middle of Halong Bay as the cruise continues through magnificent limestone formations.

Breakfast is served on board. On some boats, this may be offered as a brunch service.

The vessel then cruises slowly back toward the port. After disembarkation, guests are transferred to Hanoi or Haiphong for the onward flight.

Road distance: approx. 150 km to Noi Bai Airport
Road transfer time: approx. 3 hours
Main experiences: morning cruise, return to port, onward transfer
